About this tool

A text diff makes it easier to review edits in notes, configuration files, drafts and code snippets. Matching lines stay in order while added and removed lines are highlighted.

This checker compares complete lines and preserves whitespace. It can compare up to 1,000 lines in each text; very large comparisons are limited so your browser stays responsive.

Both texts are compared locally in your browser. Nothing is uploaded or saved.

Questions

Does the comparison ignore spaces or capitalization?

No. The comparison is case-sensitive and treats whitespace as part of each line.

How many lines can I compare?

Up to 1,000 lines in each text. This limit helps keep the comparison responsive in your browser.
