About this tool
Base64 turns any data into plain letters and numbers so it can travel safely through email, URLs, JSON and HTML. It is encoding, not encryption, so anyone can decode it.
URL-safe Base64 replaces + and / with - and _, and drops the = padding, so the result can go in web addresses and file names.

No. Base64 only changes the format of data. Never use it to hide passwords.
